A Short Bio

My investing journey began with watching my father’s portfolio rise and fall during the Dotcom Bubble, igniting a lifelong passion for investing.

My career officially started as a trader in New York, where I day-traded various stocks on the NYSE. I was great at what I did, but I soon realized I craved a deeper understanding of the companies I traded.

This quest for knowledge took me back home (South Africa), where I immersed myself in the inner workings of investment firms, forming invaluable connections with top-tier Hedge Fund managers.

My crowning achievement came at Steyn Capital Management, where I played a pivotal role in becoming the lead analyst for their award-winning Africa strategy. Together, we navigated the complex landscape of African markets, emerging as a top performing Fund over a 9-year period.
